বেলা ৪:১০ বাজতে বাজতেই আকাশ কালো হয়ে এলো,আকাশে বজ্রপাত হচ্ছে,জোরালো বাতাস..ভয় পেয়ে গেলাম এইবার,নাহয় কোনভাবে চলে গেলাম..কিন্তু ফিরবো কি করে!

রাতারগুল হচ্ছে এমন এক জলারবন যেখানে ৭৩ প্রজাতির উদ্ভিদ জলে  ডুবে থাকে।কিছু গাছ  দেখে মনে হবে জলে অর্ধেক ডুবে অাছে।অাবার কিছু গাছ প্রায় পুরোপুরি ডুবে অাছে।পানির ভিতর থাকতে তারা বেশ পছন্দ করে।কারন এসব উদ্ভিদের পানিসহিষ্ণুতা প্রচুর পরিমানে থাকে।৮০% বন জলে ডুবে থাকে।উপরে তাকালে মনে হবে বহু গাছ ছাতার মতো করে বনকে ঢেকে রেখেছে।যেন সবুজ ছাতার মতো অাচ্ছাদিত হয়ে অাছে।

যে গাছ রাতারগুলে অধিক পাওয়া যায় তা হলো করচ,তারপর বেত,বট,হিজল,মুর্তা,বট,হিজল,

বরুন, কদম,পিঠালি, অর্জুন,ছাতিম,গুটিজাম ইত্যাদি নানা গাছ দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।

মিঠাপানির এ জলারবনটির দুটি স্তর রয়েছে।উপরের স্তরে বৃক্ষজাতীয় উদ্ভিদ,নিচের স্তরে ঘনপাটিপাতার মুর্তা উদ্ভিদ বেশি বিরাজ করে।

এ বনে নানা ধরনের জীববৈচিত্র্য দেখা মেলে।এখানে শুধু উদ্ভিদ নয় বিভিন্ন পশুপাখি মাছের কীটের  দেখা মেলে।জীববৈচিত্রে  পরিপূর্ন রাতারগুল জলারবনটি।

পাখিদের মাঝে যা দেখা যায় তা হলো পানকৌড়ি, মাছরাঙ্গা, ঘুঘু,বাজপাখি,সাদা বক কানা বক,বুলবুলি,চিল,টিয়া,শকুন,

বালিহাস,ঈগল,বনমোরগ,সারস,

রাজহাঁস ইত্যাদি নানা পাখি উড়ে বেড়ায়,গাছে গাছে অাকাশে বা নদীর ধারে।

যেহেতু পাখি অাছে বুঝতে হবে তারা খাবারের সন্ধানে বা কোন কারনে এখানে এসেছে।পরিবেশ জলবায়ু  ভালো না হলে পাখিদের দেখা মেলা ভার।

কারন খুজতে গেলে দেখা মেলবে এই নদীতে রয়েছে প্রচুর মাছ যেমন রুই,পাবদা,রিঠা,বাতাসি,চিংড়ি, খালিশা,টেংরা,অাইড়,কালবাউশ, এমনকি ইলিশ মাছও মাঝে মাঝে দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।

এমন মাছ পাখিসহ অনান্য এলাকার মানুষজন খেয়ে থাকেন।মিঠাপানির বলে মাছ বেশ সুস্বাদু।

পশুর মাঝে বানর, নানা ধরনের নানা বর্নের সাপ,হনুমান,টিকটিকি, গিরগিটি, বেজি, গেছোব্যাঙ

ইত্যাদি নানা প্রানীর দেখা মেলে।গাছের উপরে কিছু প্রানী বসে থাকে।সেটা সাপ হতে পারে, পাখিও হতে পারে।

তাই রাতারগুল ফরেস্টের ভিতর প্রবেশ করলে কিছুটা সাবধানতা অবলম্বন করতে হবে।বনের ভিতর প্রবেশ করলে পা কখনো পানির নিচে ডুবাতে যাবেন না।কারন ভিতরে গাছের মোটা শিকড় সহ অারো কিছু উপকরন পাবেন।যার জন্য হয়ত পূর্বপ্রস্তুতি নাও থাকতে পারে।নৌকা দিয়ে কেবল যেতে হয়।

গাছের শিকড় জলের মাঝে ডুবে থাকে বলে শিকড়ে ধাক্কা খেয়ে বোট জ্যাম হতে পারে।কয়েকমিনিটের জন্য।গাছের শিকড় এর মূল কারন।পানির ভিতর ছড়িয়ে থাকে..

বর্ষায় চারমাস কিছু গাছ ২০ ফিট জলের নিচে থাকে।অার বর্ষার শেষে কিছু গাছ ১০ /১৫ ফিট নিচে থাকে।

শীতে ঈগল শকুন,চিল বেশি দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।মাছের কারনে তাদের অাগমন বেড়ে যায়।বেজিও চলে অাসে।

রাতারগুল সোয়াম্প ফরেস্ট দেখতে হলে বর্ষার শুরুর দিকে অাসাটা শ্রেয়।সবচেয়ে বেশি তার সৌন্দর্য রুপ সেসময় ধরা দেয়।

যেখানে নৌকার বৈঠার শব্দ নদীর পানিকে অালোড়িত করে।অার কোন শব্দ তখন খুজে পাওয়া যায় না।নদীর ঢেউয়ে মন চলে যায় এক নির্জন বনে।সেই বনে অারেক জগৎ।যেন ঢেউয়ের মতো মনও প্রবাহিত হয় বনের এক বৈচিত্র থেকে অারেক বৈচিত্র্যের মাঝে।

যেখানে গেছো ব্যাঙের হঠাৎ চট করে ঝেপে পড়ে এক গাছ থেকে অারেক গাছে।সেখানে ছাতিম বরুনের মতো বহু নাম না জানা ফুলের গন্ধ ভেসে বেড়ায়।

বহু পাখি কয়েক গাছে বসে থাকে।যেন কোন বৈঠক করছে সবাই মিলে

কেউ কেউ উড়ে বেড়ায় দূর দিগন্তে

তাদের মাঝে কারো দৃষ্টি নদীর জলের কোন মাছের দিকে।

সে জলারবনে দেখা যাবে খুব দূর থেকে কোন সরীসৃপ  কোন ভ্রমনকারীকে লক্ষ্য করছে কোন এক অজান্তে..

শোনা যাবে  কোন পশুপাখি  কথাপকথন..সুর..  যেন তরঙ্গের মনে ঢেউ খেলবে..

খুজে পাওয়া যায়  তাদের সমাজ..

 সবাই যে যার মতো ব্যস্ত...

একান্ত নিভৃতে এক বনে মন হারিয়ে যায়.. যেন বনের সদস্যরা কোন এক যাদু নিয়ে নির্জনে মনকে কোন এক অাবেগীয় অাবেশে মুখরিত করে।

সে জলারবন দেখে মনে হবে

প্রতিটি বৃক্ষ নিজের মতো করে দাড়িয়ে অাছে।দেখে মনে হবে যেন কারো শাখাপ্রশাখা  কেউ অাকাশের সাথে মিতালী  করেছে কেউ বা করেছে নদীর জলের সাথে মিতালী..

বহু গাছ মাছের মতো যেন নদীর জলে বন্দি থাকতে পছন্দ করে।যেন এটি তার নিবাস।যেন জলের জগতে  নানা রহস্যময়তার জালে নিজেদের জড়িয়ে নিয়েছে।

ভীষন নির্জন নির্মল মুক্ত পরিবেশে সবুজে অাচ্ছাদিত বনের সদস্যদের মিলনমেলা এখানে বিচরন করে।

রাতারগুল একটি  প্রাকৃতিক বনায়ন।এর সৌন্দর্য শৈশবে যেমন দেখেছি তেমন ঐশ্বর্য  যদিও তেমন  নেই।এর সৌন্দর্য ব্যাখ্যা করা কঠিন।প্রকৃতির এ অপরুপ সৃষ্টিকে অাসলে অনুভব করে বুঝে নিতে হয়।

রাতাগুলে আসতে হলে আপনারা সিলেট শহর থেকে সি এন জি অথবা মাইক্র তে করে আসতে হবে চৌরঙ্গী ঘাটে।এখান থেকে ছুটো নৌকা থে করে ঘুরে আসতে পারেন রাতারগুল।রাতারগুলের আশে পাশে কোন ভাল খাবারের রেস্টুরেন্ট নেই।

যারা সিলেটের বিছনাকান্দি যাবেন তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে ......
হয়তো অনেকে জানেন আবার অনেকে জানেন না ...। যারা জানেন না তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলছি - সিলেট মূল শহর থেকে সিএনজি অথবা মাইক্রো তে করে হাদারপাড় যাবার পর অনেকেই মনে করে নৌকা ছাড়া বিছনাকান্দি যাওয়া যায় না ।। আসলে হেটেও বিছনাকান্দি যাওয়া যায় যেটা আরো বেশি রোমাঞ্চকর ... গাড়িযোগে একদম শেষের হাদারপার চলে যাবেন ... স্থানীয় কাউকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেই বলে দিবে হেটে কিভাবে যেতে হয় আর রাস্তা খুবই সরল ।। ৩০-৪৫ মিনিট হাটার পরই বিছানাকান্দি পৌছে যাবেন ... মোটরসাইকেলেও যেতে পারেন তবে পরামর্শ থাকবে হেটে যাওয়ার ...। মাঝে ২ বার পাহাড়ি নদী পাড় হতে হয় ...। আসার সময় ৩০০-৩৫০ টাকায় নৌকা ভাড়া নিয়ে আসতে পারেন ...।

 বালিয়াটি জমিদার বাড়ি, মানিকগঞ্জ
এটি বাংলাদেশের ১৯ শতকে নির্মিত অন্যতম প্রাসাদ। একে বালিয়াটি জমিদার বাড়ি বা বালিয়াটি প্রাসাদ বলেও ডাকা হয়।[১

মোট সাতটি স্থাপনা নিয়ে এই জমিদার বাড়িটি অবস্থিত। এই বালিয়াটি জমিদার বাড়ি বা প্রাসাদটির সবগুলো ভবন একসাথে স্থাপিত হয় নি।
 এই প্রাসাদের অন্তর্গত বিভিন্ন ভবন জমিদার পরিবারের বিভিন্ন উত্তরাধিকার কর্তৃক বিভিন্ন সময়ে স্থাপিত হয়েছিল। বর্তমানে কেন্দ্রীয় ব্লকটি যাদুঘর।

কিভাবে যাবেনঃ ঢাকা (মিরপুর) থেকে ৪০ টাকায় বাসে নবীনগর। নবীনগর থেকে বাসে ৪০ টাকায় মানিকগঞ্জের সাটুরিয়া। সাটুরিয়া থেকে আটোতে ১০ টাকায় বালিয়াটি।

ঢাকা থেকে ৩০০ফিট দিয়ে নরসিংদি যাওয়ার পথে অনেক জায়গাই পড়ে, নামা হয় না। একদিন ৩০০ফিট পার হয়ে হাতের বামে (কাঞ্চন ব্রীজের আগে) আরো প্রায় আধাঘন্টা আগানোর পড়ে হাইওয়ের ডানে একটা সানবোর্ডে লেখা “জিন্দা পার্ক, কমিউনিটি ভিলেজ” ।

গেলাম ভিতরে, দেখি কি জিন্দা আছে ,না মুর্দা :p । দুই একজনকে জিজ্ঞেস করে জিন্দা পার্কের মূল গেটে গেলাম। পার্কিং ৫০/-, এন্ট্রি ফি ১০০/- বাহিরের খাবার নিলে ২৫/-

টিকেট কেটে ঢুকলাম ভিতরে।
নামটা জিন্দা হলেও ভিতরটা মনেহয় মুর্দা!! খুবই খুবই নিরিবিলি শান্ত সবুজ শুনশান। ভিতরে দূরে দূরে ঘড়বাড়ী, গরু ছাগল, হাঁস মুরগী, স্কুল, খেলার মাঠ, মসজিদ, সুন্দর একটা আধুনিক পাঠাগারও আছে। আরো কি কি আছে তা ছবি দেখলেই বুঝবেন। গরমে পুরা দিল ঠান্ডা করা একটা পরিবেশ যদিও আমি গেছিলাম মেঘলা দিনে।

এবার আসি আসল কথায়। ছবি দেখে যেয়ে কারো কারো কাছে হয়তো ভালো লাগবে, বেশির ভাগই আমাকে গাইল্লাবে তাই আগেই বলে রাখি এটা আসলে সবার ভালো লাগবে না। কারন এতো দূর যেয়ে আবার জনপ্রতি ১০০ টাকা খরছ করে ঢুকে ভিতরে শুধু গাছ পালা আর বড় বড় পুকুর ছাড়া এন্টারটেইনের জন্য তেমন কিছুই নাই এখানে।
আর এখানে ১৫-২০ জনের গ্রুপ নিয়ে গিয়ে খুব হই হুল্লোড করবেন সে সুযোগ নাই। নিয়ম কানুন কড়া। এজন্যই নিরব শান্ত পরিবেশ। সো অনেকের কাছে এতো কষ্ট করে যেয়ে বোরিং লাগতে পারে। তবে ছবি তোলার জন্য ভালো প্লেস। বৃষ্টির পরে গেলে পরিবেশটা আরো সুন্দর।

যারা আশে পাশে থাকেন বা যাদের নিজস্ব গাড়ী আছে বা যাদের কাছে একেবারে নিরিবিলি শুনশান পরিবেশ পছন্দ, যাদের হাতে যথেষ্ট সময় আছে তাঁরা সময় করে ঘুরে আসতে পারেন, খারাপ লাগবে না।

নিজস্ব গাড়ী নিয়ে গেলে লোকেশন বলেই দিলাম, গুগল ম্যাপে জিন্দা পার্ক লিখে সার্চ দিলে আরো ভালোভাবে পাবেন।

এছাড়া কুড়িল ফ্লাই ওভারের নিচে ৩০০ ফিটের শেষ পর্যন্ত টেক্সি পাওয়া যায়। টেক্সি তে করে ৩০০ ফিট রাস্তার শেষে যেয়ে আবার ট্যাক্সি/ রিক্সা/ অটো তে জিন্দা পার্ক বললেই নিয়ে যাবে। (ভাড়া আইডিয়া নাই তবে সব মিলায় জন প্রতি ৫০ টাকার বেশি হবে না)

এডিটঃ
১.সেফটি নিয়ে অনেকে প্রশ্ন করছেন দেখলাম কমেন্টে। ভিতরে সিকিউরিটি গার্ড তেমন না দেখলেও রিস্কি কোন ব্যাপারো দেখি নি। আর বাংলাদেশে ক্যান্টরমেন্ট ছাড়া যে কোন নির্জন জায়গায় এমনিতেই একটু ডর ভয় কাজ করে। মোবাইল, ক্যামেরা এমন কিছু জিনিস সাথে থাকায় নিজের কাছেও প্রথম প্রথম একটু ইতস্থ লাগছিলো বোটানিক্যাল গার্ডেনের মত হলে তো আজকে সব খুয়ামু :P (যেহেতু প্রথম গেছি তাই আইডিয়া নাই)

তবে অনেক কাপলকেই দেখলাম গাছের চিপাচাপায় বসে লজ্জিত, নির্লজ্জিত, প্রস্তুত, অপ্রস্তুত অবস্থায় ফ্রিলি প্রেম করতে :P মনেহয় না সিকিউরিটি নিয়ে কোন প্রব্লেম হবে। তারপরো নির্জন নিরিবিলি জায়গা। মানুষজন কম থাকলে একটু দেখে শুনে চলাই ভালো।

২. থাকার ব্যাপারে তাঁদের সাথে কথা বলে জানলাম রাতে থাকার কোন ব্যাবস্থা নাই এখানে, দিনে যেয়ে দিনে চলে আসতে হবে। প্রতিদিনি পার্ক খোলা।

.৩. ছবির ব্যাপারে বলবো VGA camera আর DSLR এ তোলা ছবিতে পার্থক্য অবশ্যই কিছু থাকে ঠিকি তবে আলগা কিছু এনে বসায় দেই নাই ছবিতে। যা ছিলো তাই ভালো করে তোলার ট্রাই করেছি। বৃষ্টি হবার পরে গিয়েছিলাম, তাই এমনেও চারপাশ খুব সবুজ ছিলো।
